Safety proof checklist

Spa GFCI breaker troubleshooting checklist

A spa breaker trip is a safety event, not a reset routine. The useful field work is documenting timing, visible water intrusion, affected load, and exact equipment labels before qualified service isolates components.

Capture first

Field-safe checks

  1. Do not bypass or repeatedly reset a GFCI.
  2. Document the trigger and stop if the trip repeats.
  3. Capture photos from outside the energized boundary.
  4. Electrical isolation belongs to qualified service.
