Introducing Route Ready

From New Hire to
Competent Pool Tech
in 30 Days

10 structured modules covering chemical math, equipment fault diagnosis, SLAM procedures, filter maintenance, and customer communication - planned as the training layer for the free SplashLens field app.

$0 pilot No card. Pricing comes after real field validation.
The Curriculum

10 Modules. Everything a Pool Tech Needs.

Each module is self-paced, mobile-first, and tied directly to the SplashLens app - so learning and doing happen in the same tool.

Module 1
Pool Chemistry Fundamentals
FC, pH, TA, CH, CYA - what each means, how they interact, the dead zones that cost customers money.
Module 2
Dosing Math Without a Calculator
Per-10K rules of thumb, chemical strength basics, mixing sequence, dangerous combinations.
Module 3
Equipment 101
Pumps, filters, heaters, salt systems - how they work, how they fail, what the pressure gauge is telling you.
Module 4
Reading Error Codes in the Field
Why error codes are symptoms, not problems. The 4 categories. When to reset vs. investigate vs. escalate.
Module 5
Running a Weekly Service Route
The 12-step checklist in the right order. Documentation, photos, when to leave a note vs. call the customer.
Module 6
Green Pool Recovery & SLAM
SLAM from target FC calculation through OCLT pass, with customer explanation scripts planned for pilot testing.
Module 7
Seasonal - Opening & Closing
De-winterize, balance, shock, winterize - the full sequence with climate-specific differences.
Module 8
Robotic Cleaners & Automation
5 most common robotic errors, pool automation basics, when it's an IT problem not a tech problem.
Module 9
Customer Communication & Upsell
Diagnosis-recommendation-cost script. How to present repairs without leading with the number.
Module 10
Business Foundations
Route economics, billable hours, CPO certification, career paths, how to read a pool service P&L.

Certificate Track Planned for the Pilot

The pilot will test whether module quizzes, final scenarios, and owner-visible completion records are actually useful on route. Certificate and verification flows are planned, not live today.

Frequently Asked Questions

When does Route Ready launch?
Module 4 should ship first as a free pilot because the error-code content already exists inside SplashLens. The paid product waits until pilot usage proves the value.
Does my tech need the SplashLens app to take Route Ready?
Yes - Route Ready is built into SplashLens so the training and the tool live in the same place. SplashLens is free, so this isn't an additional cost.
What if I have 20 techs?
Join the pilot list and tell us your crew size. Larger teams help us learn what reporting, certificates, and manager controls actually matter.
Can I use this to onboard new hires?
That is the intended use case for the pilot. The first modules should prove whether SplashLens can shorten the time from shadowing to useful solo work.
What if my tech fails a quiz?
Pilot quizzes will be used for practice and feedback. The goal is competence, not gatekeeping, and any pass/fail model will be set after field testing.
