- Gas supply valve closed or insufficient pressure
- Igniter failure or cracked element
- Flame sensor dirty or corroded
- Gas pressure out of spec (3.5" WC natural, 10" LP)
- Three consecutive ignition failures triggered safety lockout
Next Checks
- Check gas supply shutoff is fully open
- Verify gas pressure at manifold
- Clean flame sensor rod with fine steel wool
- Inspect hot surface igniter — replace if cracked or not glowing
- After 3 failed ignition attempts unit locks out — hold Reset button to clear
