What It Means
Solar Panel Issue
Likely Causes
- Solar panel surface dirty, coated with sunscreen film, or covered by debris
- Insufficient sunlight — overcast conditions, pool fully shaded
- Panel or internal solar charge controller fault
Next Checks
- Clean solar panel with damp cloth — sunscreen and dust significantly reduce output
- Position robot in direct sunlight for at least 3–4 hours for meaningful charge
- Solar assist supplements but does not fully replace dock charging in low-light conditions
- If panel is clean and conditions are sunny but charge does not occur: internal solar controller fault, contact BWT support
